This policy explains how we may collect, use, disclose and otherwise handle personal and sensitive information.

TCC is committed to safeguarding personal privacy. It recognises that individuals have a right to control how their personal information is collected and used. Providing personal information is an act of trust and it is taken seriously. Unless given consent to do otherwise, TCC will only collect and use personal information as set out below.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy personal information may mean some or all of the following: your name, contact details including email and phone, date of birth, gender, photographs or video footage of your participation, emergency contact details, bank account and/or credit card details, employment details, your fitness and nutrition statistics you provide to us, payment history, sensitive information and any additional personal information you provide to us, or authorise us to collect, as part of your interaction or membership with TCC.

We collect personal information when recruiting personnel, such as your contact details, name, qualifications and work history. Generally, we will collect this information directly from you.

We may also collect personal information from third parties in ways which you would expect (for example, from recruitment agencies or referees you have nominated). Before offering you a position, we may collect additional details such as your tax file number and superannuation information and other information necessary to conduct background checks to determine your suitability for certain positions.

This includes customers and members of the public who participate in events we are involved with; individual service providers and contractors to TCC; and other individuals who interact with TCC on a commercial basis. The kinds of personal information we collect will depend on the capacity in which you are dealing with TCC. Generally, it would include name, contact details, and information regarding our interactions and transactions with you.

If you are participating in an event we are managing or delivering, we may take images or audio-visual recordings which identify you.

You can always decline to give TCC any personal information we request, but that may mean we cannot provide you with some or all of the services you have requested. If you have any concerns about personal information we have requested, please let us know.

Collecting Personal Information

TCC will not collect or monitor any personal information about an individual without their consent. The only personal information collected is what is provided voluntarily by a participant or prospective participant.

We collect personal information primarily to enable us to provide participants with our services. TCC may also use the information for marketing to you or for any other purpose permitted under the Privacy Act 2020.

You don’t need to identify yourself when you contact us (e.g. to find out more about participation) however in certain situations we will only deal with individuals who have identified themselves to us.

When an Expression Of Interest (EOI) form is completed online or you have completed the sign up process online, personal information will be requested in order to provide the required information and follow up service regarding registration and participation, and advise of other TCC products, which may be of interest. You are not obligated to provide personal information however failure to do so may result in TCC being unable to provide services or products to you.

Personal information is collected directly from participants or potential future participants when they personally complete and submit an EOI or registration form or complete the sign up process online to become a participant of TCC. This can be done online via our website or App or on the phone via one of our customer service personnel if they contact you after the initial EOI or registration has occurred.
