RENATO SILVA
Renato is a first degree black belt and was born and raised in Brazil. He started training BJJ in 2004 when he was 17 years old under the Alliance team. In 2014, he moved to Australia as a brown belt to teach at Southside BJJ under Head Coach Vicente Cavalcanti. He was awarded his black belt in 2016 and realised he had to give back to the community what this beautiful art had given him
Renato is passionate about BJJ and its lifestyle. He has over 14 years of experience training and competing, and over 5 years of coaching kids and adults of all levels. His goal is to deliver high-level Jiu-Jitsu classes in a friendly and safe environment as well as to have a positive impact on people’s lives, on and off the mat.

JADE RUA
Jade loves training and loves introducing people to the art of Muay Thai as it’s bought so much value in to her life – and she knows it will to others too.
Jade won her one and only kickboxing fight in 2016 but her main focus is to train and teach others self defence, whether it be boxing, kick boxing or Muay Thai.

MATT KNOTT
Matt found a passion for helping others improve their own health and wellness after his journey of self-improvement began in 2012. After losing over 15 kilograms, Matt found confidence and respect for himself that he wanted to help others find.
Naturally drawn to performance sports, Matt fell in love with boxing (with two fights under his belt and many more to come) and the world of combat sport. Working as a trainer in Auckland for four years, he has finally found his place in the world at The Combat Centre.
With a deep understanding of the human body and its natural movement patterns, Matt’s form-focused approached to health and wellness can help you achieve your goals.
